A West Coast brand known for their Indian fusion pies has launched another Jersey City outpost just a few years after opening their first as Pizza Twist is now serving customers in the Powerhouse Arts District.
Jersey Digs broke the news about the restaurant’s impending arrival almost two years ago, which is now open at 10 Provost Street. The brand previously opened in Jersey City several years ago inside 2 Journal Square on the ground floor of an office building.
Pizza Twist began in California back in 2014 and operate about 60 locations throughout North America. The twist of the pies at the restaurant comes from Indian influences, with varieties like a lamb kebab pie or a desi combo.
Other twists provided throughout the restaurant’s menu include pizza that features a naan crust, paneer pies, or tikka masala pizzas.
A few Indian-infused pasta dishes like shahi paneer pasta and chicken options like tandoori or halal-style wings are scattered throughout the menu at Pizza Twist, which also features side dishes like breadsticks, veggie calzones, and oven-baked samosas. The eatery notably serves several gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian pizzas.
The latest Jersey City location of Pizza Twist is now open daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., with service on Friday and Saturday until midnight. The restaurant joins Peppercorn Station and Rui Tea as tenants in the 10 Provost complex.
Locals in the neighborhood should get ready to welcome lots of high-profile eateries in the coming months, as a host of new businesses are slated for this several blocks. A Tacombi restaurant, Danny Meyer’s Daily Provisions, and Philadelphia’s acclaimed Han Dynasty are all slated to open just steps from Pizza Twist when construction wraps on their developments.
