A new workout facility has officially inked a deal to open a new location in Jersey City as Rumble Boxing is the latest business to be opening in the Powerhouse Arts District.
The company is one of several new tenants that will be setting up shop inside the Arts & Powerhouse Building at 124-134 Bay Street. The property, which dates to the 19th century, is being overhauled by Kushner Companies and KABR Group into a mixed-use development.
The companies are adaptively reusing two previously industrial properties and connecting them via a vertical expansion. The Rumble Boxing in Jersey City will be their second in Hudson County following a recently opened Hoboken location along a waterfront stretch of Shipyard Lane.
Rumble Boxing prides themselves on assembling the “the most inspired and inspiring fitness instructors on the planet.” Instructors act as part DJ, part motivational speaker, and a complete master of ceremony during their 45-minute training sessions.
The Arts & Powerhouse Building is quickly becoming the place to be in the neighborhood. The property, slated to open next year, has drawn a variety of high-profile tenants that include Danny Meyer’s Daily Provisions and a new food hall from the owners of CoolVines called The Bread Factory.
New York City’s Tacombi is also slated to open inside the building, and an outpost of HaiDiLao Hotpot has also been previously announced for the property.
