Signage just went up for a new coffee house in the Heights. Located at 85 Franklin Street, at the corner of Sherman Ave, a recently for lease retail space now has signs hanging for Froth on Franklin.
According to the company’s Twitter account, the coffee house will serve locally Jersey City roasted beans by Kobrick Coffee including premium pour overs as well as artisanal loose teas, granola yogurt parfaits, and a decadent espresso and vanilla ice cream drink along with a selection baked goods. They will also offer a light lunch menu featuring farm to table sourced items.
The 1,200 sq ft retail space, on the ground floor of a historic brick building, was recently listed for lease by Donovan Realty and Development. Before that, it housed a hair salon called StarCutz.
As the Heights becomes increasingly popular, more food establishments are moving to the neighborhood. Froth on Franklin is just the latest example. Other spots include The Cliff, which opened last month, Cocoa Bakery just announced a Central Avenue location, the ever-so-addicting Bang Cookies opened a bakery at 1183 Summit Ave, and Choc-o-Pain is set to open soon on Palisade Ave.
