Everyone’s favorite French bakery, Choc•O•Pain Bakery and Café, has announced a fourth Hudson County location planned for the Heights section of Jersey City. The new location, at 330-332 Palisade Avenue, will span 3,900 square foot and house a commissary bakery, café and retail boutique.

Owner Clemence Danko explains, “Due to the exciting, rapid growth we’ve experienced since opening the first Choc•O•Pain in Hoboken in 2012, we found ourselves in need of a central location where we can produce our daily, fresh baked breads, pastries and café items to supply our own locations as well as support the growing demand from area businesses to carry our products.”

The newest location will be their third in Jersey City and second in the Heights. Earlier this year, they opened a location at 942 Summit Avenue in a shared space with Bloomsbury Square.

Designed by Hoboken-based Lee Levine Architects, PC, the forthcoming Palisade location will evoke the same Parisian neighborhood café feel as the existing Hoboken and Jersey City locations. However, with a larger footprint at the new location, they plan to pair the café with a 600 square foot retail boutique, selling a curated list of French specialty food items such as artisanal chocolates, macarons, candies and Alain Milliat jams.

If all goes as planned, they hope to have the new location opened late this year.
