After shuttering Park & Sixth Gastropub, the owners quickly rebranded as a new cocktail lounge called The Draper. Now, after less than four months in business, The Draper has closed too. A real estate listing also has surfaced listing the business and liquor license for sale, with an ask of $450k. A great deal considering the license alone is worth $200k plus. Jersey City’s first Chipotle in Newport, that we reported on last month, is now officially open.

Thai-style roll up ice cream is all the rage in Manhattan. Popularized by Chinatown’s 10Below, which regularly sees lines around the block. Well, it looks like Jersey City will be getting its own version with a new ice shop opening at 512B Jersey Avenue. A sign in the window indicates a Thai-style ice cream parlor, called Freshy Freeze Ice Cream, is coming to the space.

Just down the street at 523 Jersey Avenue, signage went up yesterday for a new Hot Pot restaurant named The Old Spot Hot Pot and Grill.

And lastly, Jersey City Upfront reports that NYC favorite, Gregorys Coffee, is opening its first location outside on Manhattan at 10 Exchange Place. One thing Jersey City isn’t lacking in is great coffee!
