Last month, Jersey Digs exclusively reported on the proposed second phase of the new Harrison Yards complex near Harrison’s station on the PATH. Now, new details have been revealed about Accordia Harrison Urban Renewal, LLC’s proposal to bring this massive development to a former industrial site in the western Hudson County town.

The Harrison Planning Board is scheduled to hear an application by the developer during a special meeting over Zoom this week. The company is seeking Amended Preliminary and Final Site Plan approval with variances and waivers in connection with a plan to construct a 26-story building and a 17-story building.

The 26-story edifice, known as Building B, is slated to include 620 residential units along with 130,526 square feet of retail and commercial space, according to a notice about the project. A hotel with 200 rooms and an automated parking garage with nearly 650 spaces are also envisioned, though a letter from Heyer, Gruel & Associates to the Harrison Planning Board on June 9 stated that hotel would be an 11-story “easterly portion” of Building B and include a rooftop restaurant.

“The design of Building B is unique in that it is proposed to be bisected by a covered driveway with an oculus,” the letter noted.

Meanwhile, the 17-story tower is being referred to as Building C and would contain 278 residential units, 74,183 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 571 parking spaces in an automated garage, according to the notice.

Renderings and site plans from Architectura that will be used as exhibits during this week’s hearing were recently released by Harrison’s municipal government. The plans indicate that Building B would be situated just north of the new entrance to the Harrison PATH stop, while Building C and a park would be located to the northeast. Each building would include a mixture of studios and one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, though the proposed pricing of the units is not yet known.

The Harrison Planning Board’s special virtual meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.

Note to readers: The dates that applications are scheduled to be heard by the Harrison Planning Board and other commissions are subject to change.
