A growing chain of bars and restaurants could be opening a location in Hudson County.
Blu Alehouse appears to be preparing to open up at the Lincoln Harbor complex along the Hudson River in Weehawken. A listing from Hartz Mountain Industries features a map of Lincoln Harbor that shows plans for a Blu Alehouse by 1200 Harbor Boulevard near UBS.
The restaurant, which often brands itself as blu alehouse, currently has outposts at St. Georges Crossing off of Routes 1, 9, and 35 in Woodbridge Township and in the Riverdale Square Shopping Center along Route 23 in Riverdale. A location is also coming to a mall in Rockland County, New York.
Blu Alehouse’s website states that the chain “tastefully combines New American dining and an upscale sports bar atmosphere into one.” In addition to martinis, margaritas, and wine, menu items include burgers, steaks, sandwiches, and salads.
The company has not returned a request for confirmation and comment by Jersey Digs.
The news of this chain possibly opening at Lincoln Harbor comes amid major changes at this waterfront development. As we have been reporting, construction is underway for a Whole Foods Market location at Lincoln Harbor that could include a Cafe Grumpy while the 586-unit Hamilton Cove residential complex is being built nearby. Plans are also in the works for another hotel on the premises.
