A Jersey City cookie business has announced that it will expand outside of city limits by opening a location in a long-awaited new Bergen County mall.
Bang Cookies, which opened a brick-and-mortar store a few years ago along Summit Avenue in The Heights, has added the upcoming American Dream Meadowlands complex in East Rutherford to its online list of locations. Although the hours and specific location of the new cookie shop within the mall are not yet clear, the new outpost will reportedly open its doors on October 25, the same date that American Dream Meadowlands will partially open to customers.
The news of Bang Cookies opening at the new mall in the Meadowlands comes as the company is also planning an additional location at 128 Newark Avenue in Jersey City’s downtown. Jersey Digs reached out to Bang Cookies last Tuesday for additional information regarding the upcoming locations, but our request for comment has yet to be returned.
Initially called Xanadu Meadowlands, American Dream Meadowlands has been in the works for 16 years. As Jersey Digs has previously reported, in addition to department stores, theme parks, and an indoor ski center, the massive complex off of Route 3 and the New Jersey Turnpike near the Hackensack River is expected to include a Grisini Food Hall and locations of restaurants like Dons Bogam.
