Dealing with health insurance companies can be pretty stressful these days. But in the last few years, specialty medical practices have cropped up to meet patients’ needs at low prices, providing quality service without requiring the standard insurance.
One such practice is The Joint, a group of chiropractor offices that now numbers 490 across the country, including a new space that just opened in downtown Jersey City on September 19.
The Joint offers $29 introductory visits and $79-per-month plans that cover up to four visits (lower prices for under 18).
The new location, at 140 Bay Street, is across the street from CKO Kickboxing and in the rapidly growing Powerhouse Arts District, where several old warehouses are being converted into housing and office space.
”The team in New Jersey chose this site because they reside in New Jersey and [had] local knowledge of the area,” said Eric Simon, Vice President of Franchise Sales and Development. “Additionally, the urban location in a redeveloped area was desirable in expanding our reach in this kind of setting.”
The Joint was founded in 1999 by a doctor of chiropractic who wanted to make chiropractic care “friendly and affordable,” according to a release. Practitioners working for the company now perform more than six million spinal adjustments a year.
The company also has New Jersey locations in Hoboken (which opened in 2014), Caldwell, and Englewood. They are planning another New Jersey office in the first half of 2020 but would not reveal a location yet.
The Jersey City office is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Sunday. The office can be reached at 201-331-5416. More information is available here.
