A world-renowned brand is expanding their presence in Jersey City as Shake Shack will formally open their latest location near the Grove Street PATH station.
News of the brand’s arrival in the neighborhood broke last summer and the space at 318 Grove Street has been under construction since. Construction paper on the storefront came down at the site on Tuesday and Shake Shack has confirmed with Jersey Digs they will be opening the restaurant on April 27 at 11 a.m.
Shake Shack will be donating $1 for every burger or sandwich sold on opening day to The Community Food Bank of New Jersey. In addition, their first 100 guests will receive a free piece of Shake Shack merchandise.
The new outpost is confirmed to feature a “Shack Track Walk Up Window” which will give guests the ability to pre-order via the Shack app and pick up their food by way of walk-up window.
Shake Shack, first launched in 2004 at New York City’s Madison Square Park, offers a variety of burgers, hot dogs, and fried chicken sandwiches alongside rotating shakes and frozen custard floats.
Their new location will be the second Shake Shack to open in Jersey City following last year’s launch of an outpost inside the Newport Mall.
Since launching almost two decades ago, the Shake Shack empire has expanded to include more than 320 locations in America and over 80 international locations.
