After closing abruptly late last year, the folks behind Kitchen at Grove Station promised they’d be back after a short break. Well, that’s not looking too good.
Jersey City Eats got word that a new operator is taking over the former Kitchen at Grove Station space. The new concept called Latham House a New American restaurant under the guise of husband and wife team, Chef Daniel Latham and Kris Yettra. According to JCEats, “Chef Latham was most recently at the Cornelia Street Café while Kris Yettra has been working with Smith & Chang.”
Jersey City Upfront found a tentative opening date of “mid-June 2016” on the Latham House Facebook page. Considering the Kitchen at Grove Station space was fully built out very recently, it’s hard to image too much work is needed to get the restaurant open. They’ve also posted now hiring signs outside the space.
