NY Waterway Vice Chairman Arthur Imperatore Jr. and local officials recently held a ceremonial opening for the first high-end specialty gym in Cedar Knolls. The facility, known as Iron Culture, is located at 8 East Frederick Place and has attracted over 400 members since its soft opening in the Spring.
“After tragically losing my son Justin, a former college lacrosse goalie, in the fall of 2018, I was motivated to create a new fitness community that emphasizes personal transformation through weight training and strength conditioning,” Imperatore said in a news release. “Iron Culture is the realization of that goal.”

“We’re striving to recruit and build an entire community of like-minded fitness enthusiasts, and our exquisite facility reflects our commitment to grow in New Jersey.”
Imperatore and Iron Culture joint-venture partners Sergio Granados and Charles Adessi dedicated a plaque to Imperatore’s son at the ceremonial opening on July 24. The 7,500-square-foot facility is intended to improve mental health in Morris County by providing a community center focused on strength and weight training, according to a news release.

Iron Culture is a $500,000 joint-venture that consists of 7,500 square feet of space. The joint-venture partners said the facility has attracted prominent fitness community members like 2018 Mr. Olympia Shaun Rhoden, Guy Cisternino, and Shaun Clarida, to name a few.
