For many residents, living in Jersey City just became even more convenient. Leading real estate developer KRE Group has partnered with app-based hospitality service Hello Alfred to provide a singular amenity to tenants in all of their Jersey City properties. Launching first at Journal Squared and then across the entire portfolio later this year, Hello Alfred will enhance the resident experience and position KRE Group a head above the rest.

This partnership with KRE Group is the first in New Jersey for the Manhattan-based startup, but their presence is well-established in New York City, Boston, and San Francisco. Hello Alfred is truly transforming the way people live in these cities, offering expertly coordinated services to tenants that are usually only experienced in the nicest hotels and most expensive residential buildings.

“The way we live in cities is fundamentally changing,” says Marcela Sapone, Co-Founder and CEO of Hello Alfred. “Service needs to be built into the home. And it’s firms like KRE Group who are inspired to truly elevate the residential living experience that are ahead in the industry. The detail and care they put into Journal Squared is unique and we couldn’t think of a better partner to launch the New Jersey market with.”

Hello Alfred was born in 2014 when best friends and extremely busy Harvard Business School students Marcela Sapone and Jessica Beck dreamed of the day when life’s basic to-do’s didn’t pile-up and distract, but just got done. Marrying tech with a personal touch, Hello Alfred not only checks off your list but becomes your personal home assistant able to coordinate, execute, even anticipate any task.

An on-demand connection with your dedicated home manager, also known as an Alfred, is at your fingertips through the smart mobile app, and then, as simple as that, they handle the rest. Different membership levels include an array of services from weekly home tidying and grocery shopping to package delivery and dry cleaning pick-up/drop-off. Move-in coordination for new residents is also available as well as third-party services like a full home cleaning through Hello Alfred’s vetted network of vendors.

“We’re very excited to offer the residents of Journal Squared the opportunity to experience Hello Alfred,” says Jonathan Kushner, President of KRE Group (no relation to Kushner Companies). “As a landlord, our focus is to improve tenant’s livelihoods with service, convenience, and community. This innovative, service-based amenity will support renters with routine tasks, freeing up more time to focus on the things they enjoy most, and to get out and explore their new neighborhood.”

Hello Alfred’s company culture is an extension of their integrity of service, hiring all Alfreds as employees rather than independent contractors and paying far more than minimum wage—a practice that makes them pioneers in the market and all but guarantees a positive experience for everyone.

KRE Group has the exclusive rights to the Hello Alfred partnership in Jersey City for one year, rolling out the amenity for a total of 2,200 apartments at Journal Squared, Grove Pointe, 225 Grand, 18 Park, and 485 Marin. Hello Alfred is also actively expanding to other cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington D.C., intent on empowering more and more people to ‘come home happy.’
