After an electrical fire forced them to close for repairs last January, Franklin Social and the Junto Attic Bar are back. Both restaurant and bar are open once again and ready to delight Jersey City diners (and drinkers) with their signature take on classic American tavern cuisine and craft cocktails inspired by Colonial American drinking culture. Both Van Vorst Park-adjacent establishments return with fan-favorite menu items and some new surprises.

Originally opened in 2019, Franklin Social at 292 Barrow Street is celebrating their reopening with some exciting new menu items. Foodies can still devour longtime menu staples like Fried Chicken Lollipops and Chili Rock Shrimp but may want to make room for new additions: Tuna Tartare, Creamy Shrimp Carbonara, Pan Seared Duck, and Pork Belly Bao Buns, all from the kitchen of Chef Ross Tan. Beloved cocktail Nerdy Bartender Things crafted by Lead Bartender Shawn Baggett still heads up the enticing drinks menu.

Tucked away above the restaurant at 68 Mercer Street is the Junto Attic Bar, an intimate speakeasy featuring a wide array of creative cocktails as well as wines and spirits. This hidden gem features specialty cocktails centered around four basic themes: bright, bold, spiced, and spirit-free. While both the restaurant and bar are inspired by and pay homage to founding father, Benjamin Franklin, Junto is named after the social drinking club Franklin opened with friends in 1727.
