They’ve connected the outdoor amenity space with 50 Columbus. It seems they will be sharing pool, basketball, and other amenities.
Construction is well underway on the hotel portion.
The first tower is topped out and enclosed. Construction has just begun on the hotel portion of the complex. They are holding off on tower 2 until the first one is completed.
The first tower will contain 560 rental units, a 144 room hotel and 12,000 sf of retail space as well as 7 story parking garage with 320 spaces.
The architect on the project is Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman & Associates. Other buildings by GSKA include the W Hotel in Hoboken and the Astor Place Condominiums.
The developer is Ironstate and Panepinto. Ironstate’s previous projects include the W Hoboken, the Standard East Village and Liberty Harbor.
It appears the hotel will be leased and operated by Marriott.
