They say that April showers bring May flowers, but what do springtime burgers bring? In downtown Newark, they bring crowds and rave reviews, at least at BURG, which has reopened in Military Park for its first full season.
New on BURG’s menu this year are appetizers like nachos and Buffalo wings, along with hot dogs, served plain for $4 or with spicy relish, mustard, ketchup, fried onions and crushed Fritos for $6.
The fast-casual concept from Chris Siversen and Maritime Parc’s Marc Haskell features a 100-seat outdoor bar and a stone patio illuminated by bistro lights, complementing a 40-seat dining room where you can enjoy burgers made of beef, tuna, chicken, or veggies.
Live music, DJs, and two new fire pits add to the atmosphere, while weekly promotions and nightly specials promise to keep things interesting. Ice cream, craft beers, and cocktails round out BURG’s offerings.
