One of the largest fast-food chains in the country, Taco Bell, has officially expanded their presence in Jersey City by launching their latest location inside a historic office building.
Taco Bell officially opened for business at 75 Montgomery Street on September 29, adding another ground floor tenant to the Hudson Company National Bank building. Jersey Digs broke the news about the incoming tacos last October following signage approval from Jersey City’s Historic Preservation Commission.
Taco Bell’s storefront is inside retail space Unit 2 at the property, which faces the Montgomery Street side of the building. Known for their tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, chalupas, and other casual Mexican cuisine, the restaurant’s latest spot spans 1,491 square feet and features seating for 18.
Taco Bell operates over 7,000 locations worldwide and has two other Jersey City locations, with one near Journal Square on Kennedy Boulevard and another along Route 440. Their Downtown outpost is slated to feature significant late-night hours, operating from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. seven days a week.
