An exciting new mixed-use neighborhood is tucked away on a hilltop in West Orange. What was once a half-empty office park has been transformed into a place where families can work, live and play. West Orange and BNE Real Estate Group teamed up to introduce new housing, a public dog park, and a brand-new public library to 1000 Executive Drive.
Stonehill at West Orange is a reimagining of 400,000 square feet of office space into 423 luxury one and two-bedroom rental apartments, 44,000 square feet of amenities and 130,000 square feet of renovated office space. BNE built the dynamic project as well as a two-acre public dog park. Stonehill has seen a remarkable response from renters since the community and dog park opened in the spring.
Just steps from Stonehill and the dog park is the new West Orange Public Library. The township repurposed a nearby office building to create a state-of-the-art library with 32,000 square feet of space, including 7,000 square feet for community use. The town’s former library will be converted into affordable senior housing, a community center, and branch library.

Stonehill’s three new buildings were designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners. Mary Cook Associates handled the interiors. The community boasts many amenities including 24/7 concierge service, an outdoor swimming pool, co-working lounges with private offices, an indoor and outdoor movie lounge, game rooms, virtual sports simulators, fitness studios, private dining rooms, pet spas, a kid’s playroom, and outdoor firepits and BBQs.
Private garage parking and shuttle service to NJ Transit are also available. Stonehill is adjacent to the newly-renovated Essex Green Town Center, providing residents with nearby retail, restaurants and entertainment.
