One of the most prominent fast-food brands in the country is bringing their drive-thru experience to New Jersey as Shake Shack is set to launch their newest location in North Brunswick.
The company will be opening their 19th Shake Shack location in NJ at 240 Grand Avenue, which will be the first drive-thru outpost on the East Coast. Shake Shack opened their initial drive-thru outpost in late 2021 and expanded the number of car-friendly locations by over a dozen last year.
The North Brunswick Shack will open on January 11th at 11AM and will offer guests both sit-down and drive-thru experiences. The new location’s drive-thru features a digital menu board, a two-lane ordering system, and a separate pick-up window for ease of convenience.
On opening day, the first wave of guests can expect to receive custom Shake Shack cold cups and keychains. The company’s Stand for Something Good mission will kick in on January 11, where Shake Shack will be donating $1 for every sandwich sold at the North Brunswick location to Rutgers Gardens, a 180-acre facility of designed gardens, plant collections, natural habitats, and a student-run vegetable farm.
“We are thrilled to bring our first drive-thru Shake Shack to New Jersey to Main Street North Brunswick,” said Andrew McCaughan, Chief Development Officer of Shake Shack. “We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome the community to enjoy our quality ingredients, warm hospitality, and the convenience of New Jersey’s first drive-thru Shack!”
The New Brunswick Shake Shack will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Guests will be able to order directly in person or at drive-thru lanes, with digital pre-ordering for pickup or delivery via the Shack app becoming available in the coming weeks.
