A café franchise that has exploded in popularity in recent years has launched their first Hoboken location as Paris Baguette is now serving customers along a prominent waterfront development.
Earlier this month, the brand opened inside the ground floor of 1000 Maxwell Place. The café occupies a large space on the Sinatra Drive side of the property and joins a [solidcore] facility in the complex that opened last year.
Paris Baguette is a franchise with more than 4,000 units across the globe that first expanded into the United States back in 2015. The company is owned by the SPC Group, a South Korean-based manufacturer of food and bread products.
With locations in 12 states, the company has created a major footprint in New York City during recent years. There are 24 Paris Baguette locations across the five boroughs, but the newly launched Hoboken spot is just the second Hudson County outpost for the brand following a location in West New York inside the 17 Avenue at Port Imperial building.
Paris Baguette’s Hoboken space boasts ample seating and sports a mural with nods to Hoboken’s past that includes a Maxwell House shout-out and a tribute to the first baseball game ever played. Known for freshly made pastries, breads and cakes, sandwiches, flatbreads, and more, Paris Baguette also serves hand-crafted Lavazza coffees.
Their diverse baked goods include French and European flourishes with some Asian includes. Among the highlights are Pastel de Nata, sugar mochi donuts, a pineapple brulee pastry, curry croquettes, and sweet rice donuts.
Prominent selections from their cakes, which are available in full or by the slice, include a tiramisu mascarpone cheesecake, a lemon citrus layer cake, and a blueberry chiffon cake.
The Hoboken spin on Paris Baguette has expansive hours for a bakery operation, opening at 6 a.m. and closing at 10 p.m. daily.
