Ownership behind one of Hoboken’s newest coffee spots have headed south for their first expansion and are set to bring a new concept to a Paulus Hook storefront in the coming weeks.
Last year, Cafe Vista opened its first shop at 527 Monroe Street. The business set itself apart amidst what is a crowded local coffee scene with concoctions like rose lattes, Turkish coffee, and Dalgona-style coffee, which is creamy and whipped together with coffee powder, sugar, and milk.
The café’s food menu includes salads, several toast varieties, and some bakery and dessert options like chocolate chia pudding, Danishes, or Turkish baklava. Despite being located on the ground floor of a modern development, Café Vista sports a unique design that includes some antique furniture, an old-fashioned ceiling, and a record player complete with vinyls.
Per Hoboken Girl, the business is now expanding to 177 York Street, formerly home to Vogue Café. The second location will be dubbed Dream Vista and will have about 1,100 square feet of interior space plus a sizable backyard to serve customers.
Ownership behind Café Vista says they will have a different interior design concept and menu at the Jersey City location, with featured drinks like blue matcha and royal blue lemonade on tap at the new spot.
An exact opening date for Dream Vista has not been announced, but the business hopes to be up and running sometime later this month. Those interested in keeping tabs on the upcoming café can follow the Instagram account of their Hoboken location at the handle @cafevistahoboken.
