As Hoboken’s western border continues to grow with new residential development and a park and plaza in progress, a new coffee shop is coming as well, set to fill the ground floor of a residential building at 527 Monroe Street.
Café Vista began posting on its new Instagram account in late October, including photos of coffee drinks, chia pudding with fruit on top, pastries, and avocado toast.
The neighborhood is a few blocks from several high-rises growing around the Ninth Street light rail station, and three blocks from a new park that opened this summer at Seventh and Jackson streets.
The developer of one of the residential buildings in the area, 7Seventy House, built the park and will soon add a plaza and public gymnasium.
Café Vista is one of several coffee shops that are set to open soon or have opened recently near the center of town. Workers are carving out space at Third Street and Willow Avenue for a store called Mojo Coffee Company.
Café Vista has not yet announced its opening date.
