A French restaurant that has been in business for over 15 years has officially moved into new digs as Bistro La Source is back open inside a larger space closer to a transit hub.

Jersey Digs broke the news about the restaurant’s pending move back in June. The eatery, launched in 2009, was looking to transfer their liquor license from their old spot at 85 Morris Street to the former Latham House space at 299 Marin Boulevard.

The move is now complete, and owner Bill Spitz has brought much of the cuisine and drinks beloved by the neighborhood to Marin Boulevard. Highlights of the food at Bistro La Source include a seared Hudson Valley foie gras, hanger steak frites, coq au vin blanc, and other spins on French and Mediterranean dishes.

The new location still sports a full bar and wine menu and is open seven days a week during the same hours. Bistro La Source just started booking reservations for Thanksgiving this week, with the first seating start time at 1 p.m. The restaurant can be followed on Instagram at the handle @bistrolasource.

A parking lot next to the property that formerly housed outdoor seating for the restaurant is slated to be home to a new 19-unit development.
