One of the busiest stretches of Downtown Jersey City has welcomed yet another new dining option as Bareburger has opened their newest restaurant.
Jersey Digs broke the news about Bareburger’s impending arrival at 143 Newark Avenue back in 2021. Their Jersey City location is the second Hudson County outpost of Bareburger following their first spot in Hoboken along Washington Street.
Priding themselves on using the best ethically sourced ingredients and boasting an allergy-friendly kitchen, Bareburger offers a wide variety of patties on their burgers. Organic beef, bison, grass-fed elk, turkey, buttermilk fried chicken, sweet potato, black bean poblano, and impossible versions are on tap at the restaurant, which offers house specialties or customizable takes.
Vegan cheese options, gluten-free buns, and other dietary-friendly choices are featured at Bareburger, which also serves sides like jumbo chicken wings, pickle chips, honey Brussels, tempura cauliflower, onion rings, fries, and more.
Jersey City’s spin on Bareburger offers something that its Hoboken counterpart does not; a full bar. Both draught beers plus bottles and cans can be found at the Newark Avenue spot in addition to a full cocktail menu and wine list alongside milkshakes and all-natural sodas.
Bareburger’s newest restaurant is situated along the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza and is offering delivery service through GrubHub. Their Jersey City hours run from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, with later service until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
