A property located in the shadow of Galaxy Towers and The Versailles in West New York could become the site of an 11-story building.
Echevarria Industries submitted an application calling for the demolition of a two-story building at 6600 River Road, according to an agenda released by West New York’s municipal government. A 133-unit multi-family development is envisioned for the site.
Site plans from Baseline Architecture refer to the proposed structure as “E Residences on the Hudson.” The plans also show that there would be a total of 127 parking spaces.
The vast majority of the units would include one bedroom each, but a three-bedroom unit and 27 two-bedroom units are also proposed.
Echevarria Industries is already touting the project on its website. A page dedicated to the development describes plans for “a new level of luxury resort-style living” with “unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline,” noting that E Residences on the Hudson “will offer rooftop green terraces, indoor and outdoor pools, a community lounge, a theater room, business center, state-of-the-art fitness center and many more amenities.”
This matter is scheduled to be heard by the West New York Zoning Board of Adjustment during its regular meeting this Thursday, September 17. The meeting is expected to begin over Zoom at 6:30 p.m.
