A vacant building near West New York’s waterfront has officially changed hands and has full approvals in place to bring a new residential development to a sizable plot along River Road.
Grid Real Estate announced that the sale of a development site located at 6600 River Road has been finalized for $5.75 million. The land, which spans just under half an acre, was sold to North Bergen-based Echevarria Industries and sits in the shadow of notable developments like Galaxy Towers and The Versailles.
Jersey Digs reported on plans to revamp the land back in 2020. A proposal dubbed E Residences on the Hudson was eventually approved and calls for an 11-story, 113-unit multi-family development to rise at the property.
Designed by Baseline Architecture, the approved project will offer rooftop green terraces, indoor and outdoor pools, a community lounge, a theater room, business center, state-of-the-art fitness center, and many other amenities.
“We are excited to have worked on this redevelopment project with Echevarria Industries,” said Bob Antonicello, Principle of Grid Real Estate. “E Residences on the Hudson, will be a welcomed addition to the north Hudson skyline and luxury rental market and will offer residents a luxurious lifestyle with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline.”
A slew of new renderings of the project were released as the sale of the parcel was finalized. While demolition of the current structure has not yet started at the property, Echevarria is aiming to have E Residences on the Hudson completed by the summer of 2025.
