Just about two years after their arrival in the Mile Square City, a health-conscious smoothie bar has officially begun construction on what will be their fifth outpost in New Jersey.
Jungle Juice opened its initial Hoboken location at 1016 Washington Street back in 2018. Smoothies that use non-fat yogurt are their specialty, plus a plethora of vegetable juices.
The buildout is underway for the smoothie and juice bar’s second Hoboken location at 417 Washington Street. Just like the first time around in the Mile Square City, Hoboken-based Nastasi Architects is responsible for the design work of their latest outpost. Signage for the storefront was approved during a Historic Preservation Commission meeting that was held on December 9.
Before hitting Hoboken, Jungle Juice had locations in Cranford, Madison, and Morristown. Their organic wheatgrass shots are a highlight and, for those with a sweet tooth, the store features milkshakes with skim milk for a healthier version of the treat.
Jungle Juice additionally serves acai and pitaya bowl options, which consist of different whole fruit or vegetable mixes with other ingredients like granola, honey, or peanut butter. The company has not yet responded to our inquiry as to when their upcoming location could open its doors.
