Due to its close proximity to the Light-Rail, Liberty Harbor North has extensive development in the works. One of the more significant projects is 235 Grand Street, a 45-story residential tower at the southern end of Grove Street. The plan also calls for an extension of Grove Street further south.
Plans for 235 Grand call for 549 rental units, 6,380 square feet of retail space and a 347 spot parking garage. The modern glass tower, designed by HLW Architects sits atop a podium base that will provide green space and amenities to future residents.
Developed by Ironstate, the new project, along with some of its new mid-rise neighbors, will add density to Liberty Harbor and facilitate a more pedestrian friendly urban area.
Construction is expected to start in 2016 and once completed, Ironstate will begin work on 101 Grove Street, a shorter, 10-story building next to 235 Grand.
