You might not expect to find one business with menu items such as popcorn shrimp waffle cones, rice bowls, and bubble tea, but Waffle & Bubble’s wide range of offerings have brought plenty of customers to its two locations in Union City. Now, the local chain will be expanding to Jersey City.
Waffle & Bubble’s next location will be at 291 Central Avenue, according to the Central Avenue Special Improvement District. The space, which is located in The Heights between Hutton and Zabriskie Streets, was previously occupied by Dana Bazar and Jersey Mini Mart.
The new Waffle & Bubble location is currently under construction, according to the company’s website. This will be the chain’s first restaurant outside of Union City. There are currently locations on Summit Avenue and 43rd Street in Jersey City’s neighbor to the north.
The existing locations are open daily for lunch and dinner except for Monday. There are 12 types of waffle cones on the menu, with fillings such as calamari, lobster, and sweet pepper chicken. Other options include lettuce wraps, chicken wings, dumplings, sandwiches, and plain waffles, while the beverage options range from iced coffee to bubble tea to lemonade.
