Yesterday, representatives from Fisher Development Associates were joined by city officials to formally open Vantage.
Jersey City’s development boom has become an ‘arms race’ of sorts, with developers continually competing to bring the newest, biggest and best in residential living to the city’s downtown. Fisher Development Associates’ Vantage is no different.
The black, glass curtain-wall 45-story tower is easily recognizable from most points downtown. Unlike the highrises along the waterfront or those sprouting up in the Powerhouse Arts District, Vantage sits alone, surrounded by vacant parcels and low-rise Liberty Harbor North neighbors. However, it won’t stand solo for long as Vantage is the first of many more towers planned for downtown’s newest frontier: the Morris Canal Basin.
“We’re proud to have been a part of Jersey City’s ascent into a leading center of dining, culture, entertainment and lifestyle in the New York metropolitan area,” said Brian Fisher, President of Fisher Development Associates. “Vantage is the fourth residential building we’ve introduced in this market, delivering nearly 1,500 homes to the many looking to call Jersey City home. This cutting-edge tower has been designed to fulfill the needs and lifestyle of today’s renters with expansive floorplans, a full roster of resort-like amenities, magnificent 360 views and an ultra-commuter friendly location. We’re delighted the public has quickly embraced Vantage leading up to today’s Grand Opening.”
Unobstructed by any high-rise neighbors, Vantage provides a set of views unlike any others downtown. Specifically, its southern perspective offers panoramic views of Liberty State Park and New York Harbor, including the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
Residents enjoy a full slate of amenities including rooftop lawn and basketball courts, zero entry pool, cyber cafe, business lounge, screening room, and more. The building’s pinnacle amenity is the Sky Lounge on the 45th floor outfitted with lounge areas and outdoor space all designed to take in the views.
The 448-unit building offers studio, one- and two-bedroom residences. Layouts are some of the largest in downtown Jersey City. Rents start in the low $2,000s. So far, Vantage appears to be resonating with renters. According to a representative of The Marketing Directors, the building’s exclusive leasing agent, the building has welcomed roughly 100 residents in just over two months since leasing began.
“Renters from both sides of the Hudson River have found Vantage offers the urban living experience they desire,” said Adrienne Albert, CEO of The Marketing Directors. “The views are incomparable and exactly what you’d expect in a stylish residential high-rise that fuses together all the elements that make Jersey City so desired, from sizable, designer homes and an amenity-rich environment to a location near mass transportation and blocks from its diverse and dynamic downtown scene.”
Fisher Development Associates is also pursuing LEED Certification from the US Green Building Council for Vantage.
