Is it possible to live for under $1,000 in rent each month in Jersey City? We found some decent options in the Heights, it’s definitely possible although you won’t be living in luxury. Here’s what we found:
74 Hancock St – $750/month

No fee! A two room studio that is only a second floor walk up. For only $750 a month, who cares that the place doesn’t have much (if any) character?

3656 Kennedy Blvd – $900/month

Going up to $900 a month gets you more charm on the inside and outside of the building. The apartment’s finishes are pretty nice – hardwood floors and the bathroom is clean. Could be worse!

48 Irving St – $1100/month

A real one bedroom can be found if we raise the budget to slightly over at $1,100/month. The unit is freshly painted, features some exposed brick, and the kitchen is more spacious than the other 2 units.
