The Oakman Overview
The Oakman is a residential condo building currently under construction in the Powerhouse Arts neighborhood of downtown Jersey City. Rising 15 stories, the building will contain 159 units. Amenities include a onsite parking, rooftop outdoor space with a pool, a fitness center, and residents lounge.
It’s named after John Oakman whose firm Robins & Oakman designed the H&MRR Powerhouse in 1907.
The Oakman is also one of the first condo buildings in many years to be constructed in downtown Jersey City. The majority of new construction in Jersey City are rentals.
Occupancy is slated for Early/Mid 2016.
