The grand opening and ribbon cutting of Sparo’s Italian Specialties and Original Sandwiches in Ramsey is set for May 13, 2023. The new shop is located at 94 E. Main Street in Ramsey.
Sparo’s new Ramsey shop marks the company’s second sandwich shop, and third location overall. The original Sparo’s Deli opened in 2019 in Upper Montclair to high community praise. The brand also runs a sandwich kiosk in the Garden State Market, located in the new Terminal A of Newark Airport.
The opening of Sparo’s Ramsey location was announced by its owners, Adam Rose and Mike Sparacino. Rose is a chef and restaurant owner, while Sparacino is a finance professional. The pair’s brand vision focused on Italian family recipes, upscale signature sandwiches, and locally sourced produce.
Sparo’s Italian Specialties provides a fast casual deli-style experience. Their business model centers around a menu of classic, signature and premium hot and cold sandwiches. Sparo’s also offers salads, side dishes and soups.
Sparo’s owners attribute much of their success to partnerships with quality local vendors.
The new sandwich shop features new menu items unique to the Ramsey location. For example, Sparo’s announced the Knott So Bad Cheesesteak, a hot cheesesteak sandwich served with fries or disco fries and available in Ramsey only.
Customer favorites from Sparo’s Montclair location are available in the new shop. These include premium sandwiches like Mama Cici, a chicken cutlet sandwich served with prosciutto, mozzarella, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers and Duke’s Mayo.
Rose and Sparacino emphasized customers’ ability to customize sandwiches, a major feature of the original Montclair location. Customers in Sparo’s Ramsey sandwich shop may customize sandwich orders from the array of ingredient options available in-house.
