This weekend marks the opening of SoulCycle Hoboken, located in uptown Hoboken at 1400 Washington Street. This is their second New Jersey location, with the other being in Short Hills. The 54-bike, 8,955 sq. ft. space including a basement will also contain a boutique selling SoulCycle’s original performance and athleisure clothing collections. Riders will be able to take advantage of two showers, two changing rooms, and four individual restrooms.
SoulCycle has over 80 locations throughout the US and Canada, motivating some 20,000 riders each day. The 45-minute workout is said to burn between 500-700 calories, using hand weights and core-engaging choreography. Rides take place in a candlelit studio to create the ambiance of a healthy nightclub and a darker, less intimidating experience. Classes can be booked online and will cost you $34 in the New Jersey area.
