Six years after opening along Washington Street in Jersey City’s Paulus Hook neighborhood, Satis Bistro held a grand opening celebration for its new outpost at 289 Glenwood Avenue in Bloomfield on December 9th.
Michael Fiorianti is the executive chef of the new location, which serves dinner after 4:00pm every day, and serves brunch on Sundays from 11:00am to 3:00pm. In addition, Satis Bistro acquired a liquor license in June from Garibaldi II Peru Mex, according to township records, and the new restaurant includes a bar.
The space, which was previously occupied by El Chirripo Restaurant, sits just across the street from the new Avalon Bloomfield Station development, which includes a Jack’s Super Foodtown supermarket.
Several other restaurants are also coming to Bloomfield. A sign was posted in the window of the space previously containing Tasteit Again Jamaican Cuisine at 271 Glenwood Avenue advertising a new Italian restaurant called Mangia Organica serving soups, salads, and pasta. In addition, a new Jamaican restaurant, Cafe Mobay, is opening in the former Shiki Wok space at 1039 Broad Street in the township’s Brookdale neighborhood, according to the business Facebook page.
