Revetment House Overview
The Revetment House is a 6 story, 163 unit building currently approved in the Hamilton Park area of Jersey City. Revetment House is the sister building to the Embankment House. Both structures sit atop the 10th Street Embankment, a historic railroad embankment once operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Abandoned by Conrail in 1995, the embankment sat abandoned and overgrown until construction started on the property in 2015.
Lefrak, who was the master developer behind Newport, is developing the project.
Due to a legal technicality, Lefrak was able to win approval and begin construction at the 10th Street Embankment, where as the owners of another, the 6th Street Embankment, are stuck in an intense legal battle with both Jersey City and preservationist who want to turn the 6th Street Embankment into a Highline style park.
