This post is sponsored by Mill Rocks – a new hip new rental building in the Village neighborhood of Jersey City.
There are several factors that distinguish the new Mill Rocks community, beyond the fact that it’s the only new construction rental building in the area, it also offers modern finishes, useful amenities, and a convenient location all at a competitive price.

A new rental community is opening this weekend in the Village section of Jersey City. Named after the historic Mill Creek that once flowed through the area, Mill Rocks brings to the area industrial-chic homes at a very competitive price.
The community was developed by Point Capital Development, the same folks behind the hugely-successful Baker Building in Lafayette, and designed by C+C Architecture.
Up for offer are 39 brand new modernly designed 1- and 2-bedroom units. Large, open layouts, lots of closet space and sleek finishes define the homes. Kitchens feature stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and European style cabinetry. The developer opted to alternate finishes between units. For example, some units feature polished concrete floors whereas others have hardwood flooring. Some kitchens have high gloss white cabinets with grey quartz; while others have wood grain cabinets with Carrera style quartz; all have full quartz backsplashes and USB outlets for your cell phones.
Residents will appreciate the building’s conveniences such as bike storage, on-site parking, an elevator, video intercom system and a package room. The show stopper? A communal roof deck providing 360-degree views of the neighborhood, Downtown Jersey City and Manhattan. The building in also backed up by a generator. So in those rare, but trying times, when the power goes out, residents can rest assured knowing they’ll still be powered up.
One-bedrooms start at $1,850 and average around 650 square feet. Two-bedrooms come in around 1,000 square feet and start at $2,800. Due to the unique shape of the building, there are various floor plans from which to choose. Bring your furry friends as the building is also pet-friendly.
Mill Rocks, at 361 Newark Avenue, is centrally located near numerous shops and restaurants. The recently opened Madame Claud Bis, Cellar 335 and the soon-to-open White Eagle Hall are all two blocks away.
For the commuters, it’s only 7 blocks straight down Newark Ave to the PATH at Grove Street.
It’s also the only new construction rental buildings in the area. For those looking for the ease of new construction at a reasonable price point, Mill Rocks is the one.
