While Hoboken has many top-notch Cuban and Latin American eateries, Lola’s on 14th Street is the only true Spanish-style restaurant and tapas bar of note to be found locally. But at the city’s opposite end, a new Spanish restaurant has started renovating the storefront at 54 Newark Avenue.
Replacing fro-yo shop Love & Yogurt, “La Casa” will be offering breakfast, lunch and dinner options when they open their doors, plus some late-night hours for the night owls. The restaurant will offer sit down seating and some tapas-style menu items, and BYOB will be welcomed at the business.
The new eatery will also feature delivery and take-out options, but little else is known about La Casa and an opening date hasn’t been confirmed. But La Casa appears to be filling a legitimate culinary void in the city, something locals are bound to appreciate.
