“I like large parties,” wrote F. Scott Fitzgerald in The Great Gatsby. “They’re so intimate.” And on May 6th, you can join a roaring party for a worthy cause. The Great Gatsby Gala happens May 6th at Jersey City’s Maritime Parc, with all proceeds benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The celebration in Maritime Parc’s second-floor Sky Room will include open bar, food, a silent auction, and giveaway raffles. Enjoy live entertainment and dancing to the music of Manouche Bag, a Jersey City-based gypsy jazz band led by singer/guitarist Mattias Gustafsson.
The festivities will be hosted by Keller Williams City Life agent Christopher Pillari, one of 2017’s candidates for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year award. Nominees compete in honor of local boys and girls who have survived blood cancer.
The Man & Woman of the Year program is one of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s highest-profile fundraising campaigns of the year, where candidates compete over 10 weeks to raise the most money for LLS. Your ticket price, a $150 donation, will go towards making treatment more affordable for families dealing with blood cancer, and towards funding the life-saving research that will one day lead to a cure. The goal is to raise $50,000 through this and other fundraising events during the 10-week period.
You can make a difference while enjoying an unforgettable night out on the town that would make Daisy Buchanan blush. Visit here to purchase your ticket. If you can’t make the gala you can donate directly here. Or, for sponsorship opportunities, contact Jessie Barrett at [email protected] or 732-245-4855.
