The Hudson River waterfront will be gaining a new apartment complex in the coming months as a development now named Hoboken Point is slated to open soon.
Jersey Digs reported on the approvals for the Hartz Mountain project back in 2020. It has been rising in Weehawken along the town’s border with Hoboken on a 2.2-acre site along Harbor Boulevard.
The development, formerly referred to as the Atir site, now consists of two 14-story structures connected by a seven-story parking garage. A parking structure between the two towers will include 321 spaces and a roof deck including a game area, entertainment terrace, demonstration kitchen, barbeque section, fireplaces, spa, and pool complete with water features.
Designed by New York-based CentraRuddy, the 259 units in the project will break down as 44 studios, 156 one-bedrooms, and 59 two-bedrooms. Beside the pool deck, amenities at Hoboken Point will span over 17,000 square feet and include a 5,200-square-foot Work Lab coworking space featuring private conference rooms.
Other amenities include a fitness center and yoga studio with direct access to the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, a screening room with a library, and a dog park.
A retail space just over 1,000-square feet will be located on the ground floor near the southwest corner of the property just off the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway. A landscaping plan designed by Melillo + Bauer Associates includes a new walkway next to the structure plus a dog run near the northeast portion of the property.
The plan for Hoboken Point has re-aligned a portion of Harbor Boulevard that’s adjacent to the project site. The area in general has a lot of construction underway, as the Rebuild By Design greenspace has also begun work just south of Hoboken Point.
Greystar is the exclusive leasing agent and property management for the complex, which expects to welcome its first residents later this spring.
