GRID Real Estate, a boutique real estate brokerage and advisory firm, has been retained by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and PATH as exclusive retail leasing agents for the Journal Square Transportation Center in Jersey City.
The Jersey City-based commercial real estate firm, GRID Real Estate LLC, recently announced that the firm was hired by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and PATH as exclusive retail leasing agents for the Journal Square Transportation Center (JSTC), one of New Jersey’s busiest transportation centers.
“We are excited to work with the Port Authority and PATH on this important assignment. The Journal Square Transportation Center is critical to the renaissance of the Journal Square CBD. With Journal Square entering a new phase of its redevelopment, as an entertainment and cultural center, the Journal Square Transportation Center will play an even bigger role as the center of the growing entertainment and cultural center,” says Bob Antonicello, President of GRID.
The ten-story JSTC includes a bus station, public parking, and a major PATH stop providing service to lower and midtown Manhattan, Hoboken, and Newark. Pre-pandemic, approximately 56,000 commuters on average used the Journal Square PATH station on weekdays. JSTC offers more than 50,100 square feet of retail and office space on the PATH concourse and the Plaza levels.
