Prism Capital Partners’ transit-oriented multi-family and retail community project recently commenced with earthworks and utility construction underway at Dunellen Station. Located at 100 South Washington Avenue, Dunellen, New Jersey, the redevelopment is at the former Art Color industrial facility.
Prism will construct 194 one- and two-bedroom market-rate rental apartments and 58 units reserved for low- and moderate-income residents. There will also be 10,000 square feet of retail at Dunellen Station. Additionally, 130 for-sale townhouses are to be developed by a national homebuilder.
Dunellen Station is situated near the borough’s walkable downtown and directly across from the train station. The convenient location offers access to regional thoroughfares including interstates 78 and 287, and Route 22.
“Dunellen Station will offer a diverse range of housing options in order to meet the needs of multiple segments of the market,” said Robert Fourniadis, Prism’s senior vice president, residential. “Future residents will enjoy all the benefits of downtown living, along with onsite support retail and abundant lifestyle amenities. We are so pleased to be moving forward with this outstanding project.”
Designed by City Invincible, the community will reflect the character of the former Art Color building with the clubhouse and retail elements incorporating a transit theme to complement the neighborhood. Prism anticipates this project will be delivered in Spring 2022.
