There will soon be a new option for smoothie lovers in Northern New Jersey. A franchisee of a Georgia-based company will open the brand’s first location in the region later this year in Essex County.
A listing from Sabre Real Estate shows that Atlanta’s Tropical Smoothie Cafe is coming to The Corner at Livingston Circle, located at 280 Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston Township. The cafe, which is expected to open in mid-March, will offer 33 flavors of smoothies, ranging from mango magic to peanut butter cup to triple berry oat. Plus, there will be a variety of menu items including wraps, bowls, flatbreads, and sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The store is currently hiring, according to its website.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe currently has just two locations in the Garden State, both of which are in Mercer County outside Trenton. They are among the company’s 600 locations in 43 states nationwide.
The Corner at Livingston Circle opened last year at this major western Essex County intersection. Home to Shake Shack, The Container Store, Blaze Pizza, Starbucks Coffee, and other businesses, it was constructed where Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant and Houlihan’s Restaurant and Bar used to stand. A location of Tempur-Pedic is also coming soon to the plaza, according to Sabre Real Estate.
