Yesterday, Mediterranean restaurant CAVA opened the doors to its newest location at 30 Montgomery Street in Jersey City. The grand opening followed a community lunch, a tradition offered for free to the neighborhood the day before grand opening at each of the chain’s 33 locations.
“Sharing a meal was part of our culture and how we welcomed our new neighbors growing up,” said cofounder Ted Xenohristos. “People can join CAVA for free lunch and pay it forward with a donation to Grow To Learn, our local non-profit partner, whose mission is to introduce a sustainable garden to every school in New York City.”
Serving an infinite variety of modern, customizable dishes with diners’ choice of 50 fresh and scratch-made ingredients, CAVA is leaning into the season with a summer menu that features light, vibrant dishes like white bean salad with spicy apricot dressing and an array of refreshing house-made juices.
The restaurant is open daily from 11 am until 10 pm.
