A location of a growing fast-casual burrito chain will be opening in Hudson County.
A Bubbakoo’s Burritos franchise is expected to open this year off of Route 440 in Bayonne. The restaurant will be located in the South Cove Commons plaza at 125 Lefante Way, according to representatives for the Wall Township, Monmouth County-based company. An exact opening date is not yet known, but depending on when permits are issued, the business could open in May or June.
Bubbakoo’s Burritos has similarities to other chains such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, Qdoba Mexican Eats, and Moe’s Southwest Grill, but in addition to burritos, quesadillas, and tacos, items such as fried Oreos, wings, and tater tots are on the menu.
There are currently more than 30 Bubbakoo’s Burritos locations, the majority of which are located near the Jersey Shore. However, there are also franchises in California, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and New York.
