A prominent industrial building on New York Avenue in the Heights neighborhood of Jersey City is headed for redevelopment.

The Riverview Neighborhood Association is holding a special meeting tonight (1/3/19) to discuss the development proposal for 268 New York Avenue. The 50×100 foot lot contains an industrial building, currently home to Jetco, an exterior building restoration company.

According to a notice from the RNA, the proposal calls for a 4-story, 10-unit building with 10 parking spaces. Designs for the building have yet to be released.

268 New York Avenue is owned by Len Wesling of Andover, NJ, who purchased the property in 1997 for $140,000, according to NJParcels.

The RNA meeting tonight will be held at 178 Ogden Avenue at 7:30 pm. The association encourages all neighbors and residents to attend.
