A restaurant and bar chain that has been rapidly expanding throughout suburban New Jersey could open its first outpost in Bergen County.
Tommy’s Tavern + Tap is looking to open a location within City Place at the Promenade in Edgewater, according to documents released by the borough’s municipal government.
A report from Dynamic Traffic says that the 10,068-square-foot restaurant would be situated at 11 The Promenade, which was previously occupied by a Pier 1 Imports. A total of 337 seats would be included.
RREEF America REIT II Corp. HH of Chicago is scheduled to go before the Edgewater Planning Board on Wednesday, December 8, to seek amended site plan approval in connection with the proposed restaurant.
Tommy’s Tavern + Tap already has Garden State locations in Bridgewater, Clifton, Freehold Township, Morris Plains, Sea Bright, and West Windsor, along with one on Staten Island. Their restaurants serve everything from pizza and wings to sushi and burgers.
