We’re searching for 2 bedroom apartments on the market in downtown Jersey City for around $2,000 a month. Here’s what we found:

Location is king. This two bedroom is a short walk from the Grove Street Path station. A two bedroom at this price point so close to the Path is hard to come by, especially at 1000 square feet. The newer kitchen helps sell it, although we’re not quite sure what is going on with the blue, purple and maybe green bathroom.

Next, we head a bit further up Newark Ave. The brand new kitchen and bath are great but I’m not sure it warrants the price premium over the other two. It’s a bit difficult to get a feel of the layout from the photos but the balcony is a nice surprise.

Finally, not far from the previous, is a two bedroom with a giant kitchen with it’s own fireplace. I doubt the fireplace is functional but it at least adds that much desired charm. Also, the oversized shared backyard is a nice perk.
