Pressed, a fast-casual coffee and waffles eatery, recently opened a new location in Ortley Beach, NJ. The restaurant occupies street-level retail space at 28 Third Avenue, less than one block from the beach.
Pressed’s business model centers around fresh pressed waffles and a variety of hot and cold brew coffee options. Their menu also features ice cream, panini, and grab-n-go snack selections.
An experienced pair of business partners opened the new Pressed location in Ortley Beach. Ryan Daly and Robert Cilento own five Playa Bowls locations in Ocean County, and the move to open a new eatery at the Jersey Shore made sense.
“We’re very familiar with doing business at the Jersey Shore and are confident it’s the perfect spot for Pressed,” remarks Daly. “We’re excited to welcome everyone to our new restaurant just in time for the summer season.”
Pressed occupies space in a brand-new 3,250 square foot ocean-block building in Ortley Beach. The building boasts a new model home and office for Walters, a manager and developer of quality custom New Jersey homes and apartments. The Walters Group has operated in the NJ real estate market since the early 1980s.
“This is a great spot for a food concept like Pressed,” notes Edward Walters Jr., founder and partner of Walters. “We’re looking forward to watching Ryan’s and Robert’s success in the neighborhood and are pleased to have this new shop as a built-in ‘amenity’ for our own team and clients visiting our Ortley Beach model home and office.”
Pressed Coffee and Waffles Eatery focuses on a fresh approach to fast-casual dining. “We came up with this idea of a new-age coffee shop that also offers different waffle flavors,” Daly explains.
The Pressed menu features multiple cold brew coffee options — a signature Cold Brew, Nitro Cold Brew, Sweet Cream Cold Brew, and a weekly Specialty Cold Brew. Diners can pair their coffee with one of 8 Belgian waffle dishes, or create their own with a combination of toppings and a sweet drizzle.
