Noodlefan held a grand opening celebration last month for its new location in South Orange. The new outpost is located in the village’s downtown at 14 Academy Street, directly across from the South Orange Plaza Building. It specializes in Thai cuisine, and serves a variety of soups, curries, salads, and meats.
Based in Union County, Noodlefan has additional locations on John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City’s Journal Square, on Central Avenue in The Heights, and in Midtown Elizabeth, Monroe Township, Staten Island, and Union.
Previously, the building was occupied by the Family Buffet Restaurant and Bar, which closed in 2014. The building was subdivided in 2015 into several spaces, one of which contains the South Orange Convenient Stop.
